Bridgestone Thailand donates funds to hospitals and foundations to aid fight against Covid-19

[Bangkok] (25 May 2021) – Bridgestone Thailand donates funds to purchase medical equipment and medical supplies and to support personnel and volunteers from all sectors to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds were presented to Thammasat University Hospital, for staffs and volunteers in Klong Toey community, Duang Prateep Foundation and for the SWAB Mobile Unit of King Mongkut’s Hospital Foundation. Bridgestone pledges to stay together with the Thai people to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Given the third wave of COVID-19 pandemic is hitting Thailand, with a large number of confirmed cases, all sectors across the nation have to deal with this crisis with full force. We need to have the field hospital to provide the best support and care for the patients. As well as the need for medical equipment that is very necessary now. With this in mind, at Bridgestone Thailand, we have continued to support the medical operation. And this time we would like to take part in sending encouragement to staffs and volunteers in all sectors so that they can do their best in performing their duties with safety. In addition, we would like to send our hearts to all the Thai people to go through the COVID-19 crisis together.” said Ms. Nundhaka Sarttrapai, Human Resource Director of Thai Bridgestone Co., Ltd.

Bridgestone Thailand, along with its employees from 4 companies under Bridgestone Thailand which are Thai Bridgestone Co., Ltd., Bridgestone Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Bridgestone A.C.T (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and TBSC Logistics Co., Ltd. donated money to support the purchase of COVID-19 protective equipment and PPE kits for Thammasat University Hospital in the amount of 219,750.50 baht, for staffs and volunteers in the Klong Toey community, Duang Prateep Foundation, amounted to 218,150.50 baht and donated funds for the SWAB Mobile Unit of the King Mongkut’s Hospital Foundation for 115,651 baht, totaling 553,552 baht.
