Kwanchai Paphatphong, President of IMC and Organizing Chairman of “The 36th Thailand International Motor Expo 2019”, reveals that the annual event is held this year under the theme concept of “Ride and Drive Together Now” to promote the expansion of Thailand’s automotive industry and invite users of all kinds of motor vehicles to dash off together, which has drawn interest from a lot of car makers, motorcycle makers and auto accessories vendors to make reservations for exhibition spaces.
“The reason MOTOR EXPO 2019 receives a lot of attention from operators is the success of the event last year when 44,189 cars and 9,169 motorcycles totalling 53,358 vehicles were sold, generating transactions worth over 56,000 million Baht.”
“In addition, it is the result of the continuing growth of the domestic car market with car sales in January-April 2019 amounting to nearly 350,000 units, growing 10.5% over the same period last year, while the political dust begins to settle, giving operators confidence that the economy in general and the auto industry in particular will surely expand.”
“Notably, as we organize the Motor Expo in early December every year which is the time that people have the highest purchasing power and desire to spend, droves of operators therefore decide to participate in the event.”
“The Motor Expo 2019 is held on more than 100,000 square metres inside and outside IMPACT Challenger including a zone by the Lakeside of Muang Thong Thani for Boat Fest 2019, Road to IAM Bangkok 2020, etc.”
