For three consecutive years under the theme of “Towards Consolidated Innovative Energy Technology”
Statistics already indicate that Asia is undoubtedly leading in global renewable expansion with its total capacity estimated to occupy 45 percent of the world’s share. Today, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) in collaboration with Chulalongkorn University, Council of Engineers, Architect Council of Thailand, organized by the GAT International Co., Ltd., has announced to hold the International Symposiums and Exhibitions under the name “Sustainable Energy and Technology Asia 2018″ or “SETA 2018”during 21-23 March 2018 at Hall 103-104, Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Center (BITEC), Bangna.
Themed Towards Consolidated Energy Technology, SETA 2018 will focus on how the digital revolution is transforming the energy sector, and how to scale up the adoption of clean energy solutions, including through collaboration and consolidation of both public- and private-sector efforts, and the pressing technological, regulatory, technical and financial challenges that need to be addressed in doing so. Assistant professor Dr. Tatchai Sumitra, Chairman of organizing Committee for Sustainable Energy and Technologies of Asia 2018, said:
“SETA 2018 is the first energy International Event of Thailand to present whole pipeline of energy . This year is the third consecutive year that the success of the two-year event has been a major step forward in the cooperation of key agencies in the country, including state-owned enterprises and private sectors.
The conference will focus on the issues that both Asia and the world keep an eye on including innovations and the latest technologies, the development of energy management, the technology for energy storage, regional energy cooperation, smart city, and business matching activities of more than 200 companies to promote investment and exchange energy technologies to the country. It aims to gain more than 10,000 audiences from over 50 countries and around the world to participate in the event.”
In tandem with this, SETA has presented itself a hallmark event for the energy industry. Its 2017 conference and exhibition attracted some 1,200 conference delegates and another group 5,300 trade, industry and academic professionals.
The 3-day event featured high level dialogues between government agencies, giants from the private sector and other stake holders who deliberated on topics ranging from policies and their impact, to emerging sustainable energy alternatives.
Highlights enhancing the content and direction of SETA were a multi-streamed conference as well as an exhibition which comprised over 100 companies who showcased innovative solutions to spearhead sustainable energy.
SETA 2018 is set to lead Asia into its next wave of growth and development in sustainable energy. Themed Towards Consolidated Innovative Energy Technologies – it will discuss cutting edge technologies for safe, affordable and practical solutions for sustainable energy.
Kicking off SETA 2018 will be a CEO Energy Forum – a high level discourse on collaborative initiatives between the private and government sectors.
The parallel sessions of its 3-day conference would allow trade, industry and academic professionals to insight into new and exciting technologies in Renewable Energy. Its 9,600 sq.m. exhibition expects to feature pavilions from industry icons, key players from Singapore, Japan, The Republic of China, The Republic of South Korea, and Thailand among others.
