Bangkok, Thailand – 2 November 2023 – Mazda announces to continue its CSR activity according to the Mid-term business plan and the Sustainable Zoom-Zoom 2030 which is the vision that Mazda Motor Corporation including Mazda across the world and Mazda Sales Thailand gives its important to. The aim of CSR activity is also to drive the business forward with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs which reflects the 3 pillars of sustainability: social, economic and environment, which is in line with the mission of Mazda Motor Corporation to preserve our beautiful earth, to improve people's quality of life and create a sustainable society.
Mr. Tadashi Miura, President of Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said, “As Mazda is the organization that conducts business towards sustainability, which is the same business mission as Mazda Motor Corporation and Mazda global, we are therefore committed to participating in sustainable social development through aiding to solve social problem, uplift the people’s quality of life and help reserving and solving environmental problems in many ways. Namely, the development of automotive technology that is friendly to the environment or reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions that is in line with well-to-wheel approach, which also takes into account emissions generated by energy extraction, production and transportation as well as developing environmentally friendly automotive technology to preserve our beautiful earth, bring about good environment and provide people with a better quality of life.”
For Mazda Sales Thailand, we have initiated the CSR activity since the pandemic of Covid-19 by organizing the activities under the project “Mazda Punsuk” and joining hands with Mazda dealers in each province across Thailand, communities, government sectors and schools to give away necessary items, which has already been held in 9 provinces across Thailand. Also, we donated medical equipment to the Thai Red Cross Society, provided the Mazda BT-50 to Thammasat University Field Hospital and Vaccination Center to help Covid-19 patients.
Mazda is continue to return good things to Thai society in order to deliver the sustainability to people in the society, develop the community and protect the environment at the same time. The “Mazda Punsuk” project is originated from Mazda Sales Thailand’s intention as the automotive manufacturer operating in Thailand and has a strong determination to create the sustainable society to thanks Thailand and Thai people for supporting and believing in Mazda brand for more than 73 years. Mazda trusts that the activities under this project will be able to help people and promote a sharing society.
Mr. Thee Permpongpanth, Senior Vice President of Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd said, “Mazda has been supporting social responsibility activity since 2020 under the project “Mazda Punsuk”, which is a project that provides support and promote a sharing society. We have delivered happiness to Thai people across the country to encourage everyone to move forward after the Covid-19 outbreak. As such, Mazda has initiated many activities to help people in various professional groups i.e., medical staffs, public, professionals in each society and students in need by cooperating with dealers and media to deliver sharing necessary items. Until present, the activities have been held for more than 4 years.”
For 2023 project, Mazda will expand its sharing activities to more group of people in a various places to help people in each society, Mazda’s customers in particular, to participate in the sharing activities. We, therefore, holds the “Mazda Punsuk” for the fourth year by joining hands with Mazda dealers, Mazda customers and partners to join a trip in order to learn about community-based professional production methods, deliver stationary and necessary items, provide lunch to students and participate in an environmental conservation activities.
