McLaren delivers first North American Senna

McLaren has delivered the first North American-spec version of its Senna hypercar to a customer in New York. McLaren bills the Senna as the most extreme road car it’s ever built.

The first North American-spec Senna was delivered to Michael Fux, a well-known car collector with over 160 vehicles. Like many of Fux’s other cars, his Senna was done up in a unique color — a bespoke emerald green that McLaren dubbed “Fux Green.” That’s actually the second McLaren color named after Mr. Fux — he also owns a purplish-red 720S finished in “Fux Fuchsia.”

“We’re pleased to be here to officially deliver the first McLaren Senna in the North American market,” said Tony Joseph, President, McLaren North America. “This is such a special car – designed and engineered to be the ultimate road-legal track car ever produced by McLaren. We know that owners can’t wait to get their cars on the circuit, and we’re eager for them to get behind the wheel.”

The Senna has a jaw-dropping spec sheet that starts with a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 that’s rated at 789 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. And with only 2,641 pounds to drag around, the Senna is blisteringly quick — 0-60 flashes by in 2.7 seconds and the hypercar will be doing 124 mph in just 6.8 seconds.

Although just delivered in New York City, the green Senna won’t be staying there for long. It’s scheduled to be on display at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering during Monterey Car Week on August 24.
