Siemens simplifies complex power challenges for Thai industrial and commercial buildings with new technological innovation in Power Distribution

Siemens Smart Infrastructure (SI), intelligently connects energy systems, buildings and industries to adapt and evolve the way we live and work, today launched series of its 3VA and 3VM molded case circuit breakers (MCCB) in Bangkok in order to support smart power distribution in buildings and facilities such as commercial buildings, industrial buildings, factories, telecommunication and data centers.

Siemens Concept for an Intelligent Power Distribution
To address the urbanization challenges and complexity, Siemens proposes the Totally Integrated Power (TIP) concept. This concept includes all aspects of power supply for industries, buildings, and infrastructures: from electrification and automation to digitalization. The system’s integrated portfolio includes products, solutions, and services for all voltage levels, areas of application, and building lifecycle phases to ensure a reliable and flexible power supply.

The Siemens 3VA and 3VM product range is one of innovative product designed to simplify what has become an increasingly complicated planning and installation process to ongoing operation of the electrical energy distribution system. The intuitive operating concept and excellent selectivity properties ensure high availability, safety, and protection of the systems. It is also capabale to address increasing digitalization.

“It’s important for people involved with power management in buildings and facilities, whether they’re working in commerce, healthcare, hospitality, telecommunication, technology or industry, to plan well and execute power supply in thier buildings to ensure optimal return on investment and flexibilty over time,” said Suwannee Singluedej, Senior Vice President and Head of Siemens Smart Infrastructure, Siemens Thailand. “The TIP concept doesn’t only address today’s challenges – it’s also a future-proof solution for power supply management. Hence the 3VA and 3VM molded case circuit breakers support Siemens vision for the future of power planning.”

Planning & Installation Made Easy
The 3VA and 3VM molded case circuit breakers help planners and design engineers easily plan, install, and maintain power supply management in buildings. It is able to grant building operators and power management teams peace of mind due to future-proof technology that makes the 3VA and 3VM more cost-effective compared to conventional circuit breakers. The 3VA circuit breakers’ flexibility allows for a variety of applications, so operators do not have to revise power supply systems to match new usage requirements. In addition, the 3VA and 3VM circuit breakers have communication capabilities which enable easier real-time data collection, preventive maintenance, and power management. It could notify users via mobile phone in case of emergency, using QR code download for massive technical data and providing preventive maintenance capability. And perhaps most importantly, its efficiency, reliability, and security benefit the tenants, business, and users who depend on it.

“The products offer unique benefits such as flexibility that allows expansion for other functionalities and can be easily integrated in high level energy management or automation systems. In short, 3VA series meets all energy distribution requirements for protecting cables, electrical loads and industrial equipment against electrically induced damage and down times. Also it makes the system transparent and can identify saving potentials” Singluedej added.

Siemens 3VA molded case circuit breakers are available for purchase in several series, all of which are IEC-approved and comply with the IEC60947 and the UL489 standards.
“We encourage all industries, buildings, and infrastructures projects to use TIP which the 3VA and 3VM circuit breaker series are a part of. This is to ensure they are prepared for the challenges of today and the transformations of the future,” Singluedej said
