Prayad Gontong (third left), Sales Director of Yanmar S.P. Co., Ltd., presented the HS2000 sugarcane harvester to Pinij Pakpon (fourth right), President of North-Isan Sugarcane Planters Association, Thai Udon Baan Pue branch, recently at Thai Udon Thani sugar mill.

YANMAR S.P. CO., LTD. presented its HS2000 sugarcane harvester to Pinij Pakpon, President of North-Isan Sugarcane Planters Association, Thai Udon Baan Pue branch in Udon Thani province. The association made a repeat purchase of this model because of the high efficiency and added value offered by Yanmar sugarcane harvesters. The product helps solve the problem of manpower shortages and also serves to reduce pollution by avoiding the practice of burning the sugarcane before harvesting. This means that planters can easily harvest fresh sugarcane earning a premium over burnt sugarcane from sugar millers.

The Yanmar HS2000 sugarcane harvester offers high performance with its 200-horsepower engine and ease-of-use with integrated functions. The model can cut sugarcane at the base of the plants, remove and divide out straw and leaves and chop sugarcane into pieces so they can be easily transported and winnowed. The HS2000 can harvest up to 120 tons per day and is designed to work in farms that have a 1.1-1.2-meter gap between each planting row. It is equipped with the SA-R system that allows users to access and utilize data on machine operating conditions to plan and manage the cultivation process.

Asked why he chose the HS2000, Pinij replied: “I purchased a second HS2000 because I have trust in the product quality and Yanmar after-sales service. Especially, I found it is very convenient to track the machine operation from my smartphone thanks to the SA-R system. With this machine, I can save on the labor costs and earn more from selling fresh output to sugar millers. HS2000 sugarcane harvester helps generate incomes for me in the long run and is in line with the government’s policy to remove burnt sugarcane that is a cause of 2.5 PM dust.”

YANMAR will continue to develop new products and technology to offer added value innovations for farmers across the country. For further information, please visit www.yanmar.com/th/
