Ford’s high-output EcoBoost V6 makes it way into the F-150.
Crave the power of the Ford F-150 Raptor but want something a bit more civilized? Well, you’re in luck. Allow us to introduce the 2019 Ford F-150 Limited, now with 20% more Raptor guts.
For 2019, Ford has upped the output of the Ford F-150 Limited’s 3.5L EcoBoost V6 from 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque to a Raptor-matching 450 horses and 510 lb-ft.
To emphasize the new, more muscular engine tune, the 2019 F-150 Limited gets dual exhaust finishers integrated into rear bumper cutouts.
There’s more to the Raptor than just its engine, of course, and the rough-and-ready suspension and aggressive styling of Ford’s performance truck don’t really fit on a luxury model like the Limited.
To that end, the 2019 model gets a handful of new interior touches (such as new “Camel Back” two-tone leather) and additional trim options, including ash swirl wood elements and aluminum-wrapped bezels.
