Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. today launched the much-awaited XPANDER, the new crossover at Bangkok International Grand (BIG) Motor Sale 2018. Creating a new market segment in Thailand, this newest addition to Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s product range underlines the brand’s commitment to inspire and motivate drivers.
The all-new XPANDER is designed to be the answer for young generations, young families and drivers who desire a stylish crossover with space, utility, driving performance and go-anywhere versatility. It will be offered in two variants starting with GLS-LTD priced at THB 779,000 and GT priced at THB 849,000.
Addressing the media at the event, Morikazu Chokki, President and CEO, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said, “the all-new XPANDER demonstrates Mitsubishi Motors’ ambition to go beyond customer’s needs by creating a new segment in Thailand. It gives our drivers the best of both SUV and MPV worlds and is a new type of crossover.”

All New XPANDER, the New Crossover

The all-new XPANDER’s stylish looks is the result of Mitsubishi Motors’ advanced Dynamic Shield design concept. The front resembles a shield, providing symbolic and real-world protection to people inside and outside the crossover. It combines protection and performance into a single design.
The top-of-the-range XPANDER GT gets a pair of front fog lamps, chromed door handles and beltline molding and silver skid plates with a sill garnish. The overall exterior communicates an adventurous and futuristic style with 205-mm ground clearance.
The all-new XPANDER offers spacious interior dimensions. Its interior provides comfortable seating for a maximum of seven people with ample leg and shoulder room along with its impressive flat luggage floor. The range-topping variant will come with a 4.2-inch TFT color LCD multi-information screen with 3D animation, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter, cruise control, 6.2-inch touch-screen monitor and leather faced seats for all three rows.

The all-new XPANDER is powered by a 1.5L MIVEC DOHC 16-Valve engine that provides a maximum output of 105 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 141 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Made to be fuel efficient without compromising its performance, the engine is also developed to have less noise and vibration for smoother and quieter driving performance.
The all-new XPANDER is now available at BIG Motor Sale 2018 between August 17-26, 2018 and at the Mitsubishi dealer network nationwide with customer deliveries to commence from the launch date.
