BMW Z4 Concept leaks ahead of Pebble Beach reveal

Leaked images detail BMW’s concept for the Monterey Car Week, previewing the next Z4

Images of the new BMW Z4 Concept heading to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this weekend have leaked on the web, revealing our best look yet at the next generation Z4 roadster.

BMW had already teased the Z4 Concept a couple of times before these images leaked, but these pictures only consisted of a sketch of the car’s muscular side profile and a murky image of its aggressive face.

• Best convertible cars to buy now

Looking at the leaked images, we see just how wild the design of the car’s front end is, with bold chromed kidney grilles and an angular assortment of vents positioned underneath them. Angular LED headlights with BMW’s new hexagonal lighting signature are pushed out to the very farthest corner of the car’s face.

Running down the sides of the car are a pair of angled creases, while long, wide but thin mirrors sprout from the tops of the doors. At the back, the roll hoops are bolstered by a pair of buttresses sweeping into the flat deck behind the driver and passenger, with wide LED taillights and an aggressive looking rear bumper also added.

The new Audi TT Roadster and Mercedes SLC rival will make its debut in the metal on 17 August. BMW is expected to unfurl the new Z4 in a similar manner to the all-new 8 Series, with a revealing concept vehicle to whet the appetite for the production model.
