Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has updated the Dodge Charger SRT lineup for the 2019 model year, introducing new Hellcat Redeye and Scat Pack Widebody packages.
Following the Demon’s end of production, the Hellcat Redeye now claims the title of most powerful, quickest and fastest muscle car. It bridges the gap between the basic Hellcat and Demon in term of engine output, with 797 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque.
Drivers can expect to hit 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds, finish a quarter-mile run in 10.8 seconds and reach a new top speed of 203 mph.
The basic Hellcat has also been upgraded, retuned to deliver 717 horsepower and 656 pound-feet of torque. A new dual-snorkel hood on all Hellcat models is inspired by classics including the 1970 Dart Swinger and 1971 Demon.
Buyers can now get the Hellcat Widebody’s flared fenders with the lesser R/T Scat Pack configuration. The new variant rides on 305/35ZR20 Pirelli tires mounted to 20×11-inch “Devil’s Rim” wheels.
Further down the lineup, the Challenger R/T and new GT RWD performance models get standard high-performance suspension and other enhancements. The family also adds a new SXT all-wheel-drive model.
FCA will begin taking orders for the 2019 Charger in late June, with deliveries expected to begin in the third quarter of the year.
