Even the Mercedes C63 AMG can do better inside according to Carlex Design

You might have noticed the way we lettered the name of the model – this is not the Mercedes-AMG C63 but the previous generation model – so owners of the current one might be safe for a while.

With the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG having lived a fulfilling life until now, with the passing of time came the need for some R&R, which is probably why it landed at Carlex Design’s workshop to pack a Darth Vader-approved dark theme. The owner seems to have liked the monochromatic effect and the tuner obliged with black leather wrapping the inside of the cabin – there’s also a touch of white stitching for the needed styling contrast. Everything went black – even the aftermarket Audison sound system tucked in the boot, with the same black leather honeycomb pattern even for the huge speakers.

We’re used to seeing huge attention to detail from Carlex and this project doesn’t disappoint and it seems only a few bits and pieces of the interior have remained the same. The exterior design has been left untouched and probably the owner is letting it accumulate the vintage touch – though those glossy black alloy wheels and red brake calipers are certainly great looking. The C63 hasn’t been touched in the bay area – the naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 engine still pushes 451 horsepower (336 kilowatts).
