Lexus has released pricing information for the brand-new 2019 ES.
Called ES 350, the base model starts at $39,500 before Lexus factors in a mandatory $1,025 destination charge. The company points out that's a $550 increase over outgoing model.
Next up is the gasoline-electric ES 300h. Lexus priced it at $41,310, a sum which represents a $510 decrease compared to the outgoing hybrid version of the ES.
Finally, the ES 350 is offered with an F Sport package that brings a body kit, specific 19-inch alloy wheels, and a retuned suspension, among other features. It's Lexus' way of injecting a dose of excitement into a sedan that has never raised anyone's heart beat. The ES 350 F Sport sits on top of the range with a sticker price of $44,035.
Lexus has also published fuel economy figures. The ES 350 and ES 350 F Sport receive a 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes 302 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. Bolted to an eight-speed automatic transmission, the six returns 22 mpg in the city, 33 mpg on the highway, and 26 mpg in a combined cycle. The hybrid model teams a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder with an electric motor for EPA figures of 43, 45, and 44, respectively.
The 2019 Lexus ES will go on sale nationwide in September.
