Lexus was among the last of the premium automakers to offer connected car solutions like Apple CarPlay, but the company is now fully embracing its relationship with third-party tech providers with a tie-in to Amazon's upcoming Prime Day.
Lexus is partnering with Amazon to giveaway one of its all-new ES sedans to a lucky winner. The 2019 ES features Alexa-compatibility, and Lexus is hoping to use Amazon's Prime Day to spread the word about the luxury sedan's new connected feature that allows for car-to-home and home-to-car commands.
"The winnings of the Amazon Prime Day Alexa Home-Smart-Home Sweepstakes are the real deal. The Lexus ES is one of the first vehicles to offer Amazon Alexa functionality and is the perfect luxury vehicle to complement the smart home lifestyle," said Cooper Ericksen, Lexus vice president of marketing. "We're excited to collaborate with such an amazing sweepstakes that gives Amazon customers a chance to win the prize of a lifetime."
In addition to the ES, the winner of the sweepstakes will also win a trip to Seattle, an Alexa smart home kit and $50,000. The contest is set to run through July 15.
