Subaru announced the sale of its first production Ascent crossover to a Wisconsin family Friday, marking the company’s official entrance into the world of three-row CUVs.
Previously, Subaru relied on its subcompact Crosstrek, compact Forester and midsize Outback to capitalize on the hot crossover market.
The all-new Ascent entered production in May, and with this Subaru has made good on its promises of deliveries beginning by summer.
Taking delivery was now-three-time-Subaru-owner Samantha Ernest and her family, plus their Boston Terrier, Brewer.
To commemorate the occasion, Subaru and its dealership (Sommer’s Subaru in Mequon, Wisconsin) presented the family with an “Entertainment Anywhere” pack which included iPads and Harman Kardon Bluetooth headphones.
